Abstract

Abstract

This study examined university students’ perceptions of their instructors’ teaching styles in three higher learning institutions in Ethiopia. Data were collected from 474 randomly students using Modified and Adapted Principles of Adult Learning Scale (MAPALS). Findings indicated that the students perceived their instructors as practicing the traditional teacher-centered style in facilitating learning. Field of study, institution, and year of study were significant on the summated scores of the Modified and Adapted Principles of Adult Learning Scale. Recommendations for administrators, the instructors and future research were forwarded.
