The Effect of Emotional Intelligence, Student’s Motivation toward Student’s Achievement

Abstract


This study aimed at determining the effect of emotional intelligence and students’ motivation toward student’s achievement. This research used quantitative. The population was 172 students of class XI (eleven) SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rotan and the sample was 43 people. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that (1) emotional intelligence had a positive and significant effect on student’s achievement; (2) student motivation has a positive and significant effect on student’s achievement; (3) emotional intelligence and student’s motivation together positively and significantly influences student’s achievement.
