Conception Et Mise En Œuvre D’une Unité Pilote De Distillation Pour La Valorisation Des Déchets Fruitiers En Bioéthanol
Abstract
The present research focusses on bioethanol production from fruit waste in industrial way. The process is composed of juice extraction, alcoholic fermentation, continuous distillation in the aim of producing high proof ethanol. The pilot unit required the design and development of a juice extractor, 4 fermenting tanks, a continuous distillation still and a boiler fed with biomass fuel. The unit can produce up to 400 liters of ethanol at 92 to 94% by volume. The fermentation efficiency and distillation efficiency are 88,24% and 91,97% respectively. The obtained results confirm that bioethanol plant can be set up with the adopted technics, and the obtained energy can be used as an alternative for domestic fuel.
