Effluence, Deposit Transport and Dredging of the Karnaphuli River – a review

Abstract

One of significant river of Bangladesh, Karnaphuli, has a high environmental and viable value for Chittagong and the Chittagong Hill.  Numerous researches have been done on Karnaphuli river water analyzing water quality, heavy metals and deposit transport. Researches are done based on single characteristic. This article reviews the findings of maximum number of researches carried out by the various researchers considering all the characteristics of the river Karnaphuli.
