Supervisor’s Performance for the Quality of Education

Abstract


This qualitative study investigated the supervisor’s performance and the contribution to improve the quality of education in Pulau Rimau. Data were collected using observation, documentation, interviews and literature review. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that 1) the implementation of the supervisory program should be based on managerial and academic aspects as in National Education Standards; 2) the implementation of supervision is still more related to routine administrative activities; 3) there is need to increase the competency of supervisors.
