Collaboration of School Committees and Principal to the Quality of Education

Abstract


This paper aimed at understanding the collaboration between school committee and school principal in order to enchance education quality at SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Rimau. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this research. Observation, interview dan documentation were used to collect the data. The finding showed that school’s committee at SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Rimau well collaboration with school’s principal in accordance with its role as advisory agency for determination in implementation of school policy, school committee role as supporting agency; controling agency; and mediator agency. School principal role in order to improve educational quality were formulate school’s vision and mision; target; goal and work plan; build harmony atmossphere in school; do supervision to the learning procesess; manage an effective learning process done by teachers and educational staffs with expectation to improve educational quality.
