Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the sediment dynamics and morpho-sedimentary evolution of Amborovy beach under the influence of hydrodynamic factors. We used the numerical model MIKE 21 (modules SW, HD, and ST). The results showed that the Northwest swell favors the transport of sand towards both the Northern and Southern ends of the area. The analysis of the bathymetric evolution reveals a complex morphology, with an eroded central zone and lateral areas characterized by the presence of sandbanks. The modeling results confirm the relevance of our model, characterized by high correlation coefficients (R), low root mean square errors (RMSE), and excellent agreement between observed data and predicted values.
