Viet Trinh Tran, Dinh Thuan Tran

Abstract

Environmental degradation due to unsustainable economic development and consumption has prompted retail businesses to rapidly adopt the green economy model to ensure sustainable development. This paper analyzes the application of the green economy in retail, comparing Vietnam's approach with other Asian countries such as India and China. The objective is to clarify the challenges and opportunities of the Vietnamese retail industry in the process of transitioning to a green economy. The paper also highlights the strategies and policies that other countries have successfully applied, while proposing solutions for Vietnam to promote the transition process, ensuring sustainable development in the context of globalization and climate change.
