4. Description Abstract

This study examines the impact of socio-economic factors on child survival within households in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, using data from the 2018 MICS survey. Key findings reveal that household income, the education level of the household head, marital status, and the presence of disabilities significantly influence child survival rates. Higher income and education levels correlate positively with better survival outcomes, while households with disabilities face greater challenges. These results underline the need for targeted public health interventions to improve socio-economic conditions and reduce child mortality.
